dive_popo
Nice car ! I dont like the red accents but everything else looks good to me Is this a Cabring strut brace ?
Josh
Seeing as the same car but without the aerotop is £1-2k less, it'd hurt me to part with the extra money just to have a hole in the roof. I know people on here love them, but I really don't see the appeal of the aerotop. You're almost into TT auto prices there.
jsnlvxr
the plan would be to tt the car and stick a manual 6 speed in eventually. i just like the aerotop. somthing a bit different.
Dnk
Look beyond the paintwork if you can and how nice it looks, has it got any history ? any proof of the low mileage ? when was it imported ? what grade car was it ? how many owners in the UK ? has it been HPI checked ? whats been done to get 240 hp out of it ? what tyres are on it ? how much tread is on them ? are they evenly worn ? KamaSupra
i just like the aerotop. somthing a bit different. Same here, I love my aerotop. Wither you drive fast or just cruise about, if the roof is off you can't help but smile. The one your looking at looks bang tidy, it's in the best colour too
Noz
That looks like a nice example. Good millage though you can never be sure on imports. Aside from the brace the engine looks like it's been fairly left alone which is a good sign for an NA. I would get an RAC inspection and HPI check
jsnlvxr
it looks like a good base car. ive emailed him for that questions above see what hes got to say. ive currently got a astra vxr which i track but i am selling it because i fancy a change, and growing less fond of modern cars. The Raven
Aeros are fun in the summer. Winter not so much. As for that car i wouldnt spend top dollar on something you plan to rip apart if im honest. Im not saying its not a nice car, just that a less well cared for model would be cheaper and if you plan on gutting it anyway why not start with a cheap base. Thats what i did
Noz
Whats the specification for the Vxr, the NA is a nippy motor but isn't up to turbo speeds of modern engines.
Havard
Looks a nice cat but you need to do some looking into it's history and where it has been. The price is high but it always will be if it is a quality car through a dealer. H.

Josh
lets hope!! Glad you're getting a Supra but an NA will feel awfully slow after the VXR. When you're TT BPU though, that'll be sweet with an aerotop and 6 speed!
jsnlvxr
tbh im so scared of driving quick on the roads these days. so many police and factors so i would be happy with a slower car for while and slowly build it to a tt. jsnlvxr
seems a bit dubious!! wander if jm imports could find a tt aerotop to import
jsnlvxr
car was sold anyway. oh well sure there is more about!!
Josh
car was sold anyway. oh well sure there is more about!! Try speaking to Jurgen. Unless it's been converted, in RHD, TT aerotops only came in automatic (GZ). If you then changed it to 6 speed, you'd be on to a winner. jsnlvxr
thats what ive been thinking. just find a tt aerotop and get the 6 speed box fitted. just need to shift the vxr. although i would like to keep it too but cant afford both!! jsnlvxr
just been having a look at the japan used cars sites on jm imports site and can only find on GZ and its quite a mess!! dodgy veilside kit too
Hollands
i use to have an 03 plate civic type R with 40 thousand miles on the clock and i was a bit worried about switching to an older car! but the supra with 70 thousand miles on the clock is alot smoother! and alot more fun! good luck finding a nice supra
