tbourner
Most rescues will have a neutering policy, or at the least a contract that you will agree to get him neutered. Any puppies you have would belong to the rescue - at least that's how we do it. Always best to have a boy and girl together though, go for it. With regards to puppies why would the pups belong to the rescue then?? Inky is ours so the pups should be ours.

tbourner
We have contracts that state the dog belongs to the rescue forever basically, so if it's found that you're using them for fighting or racing or any other illegal activities the rescue can take them back. I think it's implied that pups coming from the dog whether male or female must be handed to the rescue, since the contract states you MUST get them neutered if they aren't already - from their website "If the dog or cat has not already been neutered by the Society before leaving the centre, I am fully aware of the Society’s policy on neutering and agree to undertake this procedure as part of my responsibility in rehoming the animal.", so you've gone against the contract by allowing breeding, meaning the dog and all pups should go back to the rescue. No doubt you could fight it in court if you really wanted to, but at the end of the day why would you? If you want to breed then find a good KC pedigree stud, not a rescue hound from who knows where. Geo
Well phoned up this morning to inquire about the wee man, and the girl i spoke to said that he's been reserved and he's off to a new home at the wknd. The girl said he has some behavioral problems and the home he is going to is ideal for him. Actually a bit gutted TBH, but now were looking at either getting another Dalmatian puppy or going to breed inky next year for one litter, and keep one.
