Recommend me a PC Photo Editing software?

Lightroom is very good...but first and foremost it is a RAW convertor and an image file cataloguing piece of software. It also posesses really nice

noise reduction etc and I use it for 95% of my post processing.

My workflow with LR3 goes something like this: Import RAW file from camera/catalogue/adjust necessary levels & white balance/add

sharpening, reduce noise & then output to Jpeg.

LR3 is also non-destructive so you can edit again and again and still go back to your original image if you desire.

This sometimes negates the need to use layers in some repects.

I only leap across to Paint Shop Pro if I want to use layers or do some serious cloning/healing/object removal.

So if you are looking for free software, I'm told GIMP is good.

Or take a look at/buy Paintshop Pro x4, which has many features similar to Photoshop, but is considerably less expensive. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corel-PaintShop-Pro-X4-PC/dp/B005HU4PEA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323630226&sr=8-1

Also, you can normally download a 30 day free trial of software to see how you get on with things.

omg, I don't want to get possessed lol :D

Jokes aside, thanks for the recommendations! I also have GIMP but what I really want is a light and simple tool just to quickly crop and maybe add some cool filters to your photos. LR3 is nice as you say but its more involving. I do use it to process family pictures and pictures for my websites but sometimes I just want something like Camera+ App in my phone for some quick and dirty processing.

I will have a look at PS Pro ;)
