Bossco
Take them of your car and measure the diameters. Then you will know what to order. DISCO! You only need to slide one end of a pipe, then you can put it back whilst you wait for the new ones to arrive.
Lude
ive just been replacing all the vacuums today, on the turbo side of the engine, 4mm + 6mm i used. 5mm will probably stretch over a 6mm pipe. always better to order too much wiring/piping, than not enough. ashbuster
true, just wondered if anyone knew so i could order them now, too dark out lol doesnt matter how thick they are does it? i just measure the inside of the pipes ...edit just read above... so the hose size inside doesnt matter as long as they fit over the pipes that they connect to? they dont have to be a certain size? Lude
yea you measure the diameter of the pipes, just looked at the price, looks pritty pricey! i know its a fancy colour, this is the one i had, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180725407077?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1102wt_862 i only wanted black, they do a pinky colour, or do you want that exact purple,

(like jubilee clips, or the pincher clips like toyota put on as standard etc) PS this just reminded me, i once purchased a fairlady Z, the owner had split the vacuums down the middle (as if was gutting it) then ADDED them to the stock ones! i was peeling them off thinking wtf!! heres a pic i found from my PC lol Edited December 10, 2011 by Lude (see edit history)
ashbuster
ahh nice one mate, they do a better purple too closer to what i wanted and cheaper thanks bud and to the above post lol and i was thinking of the opposite way around too mate, didnt know if it is smaller than the original hole or larger if it would hurt it thought they had to be the exact size inside for some reason lol how much did you order of each mate? so i can make sure i order the lot in one go Edited December 10, 2011 by ashbuster (see edit history)
Lude
i ordered 2 metres of 6mm, and 1 metre of 4mm. i knew what ones i was replacing though, i was replacing all the hardpipes here..... replaced mine with soft pipes, and hid them out the way, to make it all look cleaner remember better to order too much than too little!
