The Raven
My sister fell off her horse chocolate yesterday and had a bad impact managing to sustain stage 3 'Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation', ie tearing 3 prominant ligaments in the shoulder away from the clavicle (collar bone) Massive lump on her shoulder and 10 weeks off! Sad thing is she was close to getting on to Team GB on the grand prix scene. So this will set her back some. I think things like this sometimes its better to break a bone. Got me thinking about what might happen if i was to have an injury like that my company would be screwed. I need a big insurance policy to cover me incase i break a leg ect. marbleapple
I know of people who have broken their backs and even sustained brain damage from falling off a horse. They are dangerous especially because they are animals and react to stimuli as opposed to things like vehicles etc (that wouldn't flinch it a person came from its blind side etc) I wish her a speedy recovery

Josh
My sister used to ride horses all the time and fell off a couple of times, but the only injury she got was a cut on her head and bruised ribs. She's recently started to help a girl with her 2 horses, sort of like hiring one of them and in return she helps with cleaning and stuff and pays £20 a week. Rob
Indeed, every single person I know/knew who had anyting to do with horses has been horribly injured by one. A girl I worked with had a fractured spine from being thrown, I had to give her a lift in the Supra when she returned to work, I was terrified I was gonna paralyse her if I hit a pothole. Another girl I worked with was kicked square in the face, she was really pretty. I suppose she still is, except now there's a massive scar. My mum worked in a riding school for disabled children and while leading a horse it decided to bolt. Stupidly she thought if she gripped the rope well she would stop the horse...hello dislocated shoulder. The list goes on.

creative
My sister is a keen rider. She used to work with some famous horsey people down south. She has had a few big falls but always got back on them! The lady she rides for over here was recently put in hospital after a hoof to the face! She was in hospital for a couple of months but fortunately made a full recovery and is back riding...l. Sod that!
