michael parker
Last week i had to leave the house at about 5.30 am for work, so being quite chilly and me being bright and wearing a pair of shorts i had to turn the heating control up, It didn't seem to get any warmer and i didn't really think any more of it. Anyway i'd got in the car a few days later and started driving i heard a faint noise, i turned the stereo off and could hear a "beep beep beep beep" tone coming from behind the heater controls???? not particularly loud though a definite sort of warning tone! Anyway having to drive about 125 miles i went in to the nearest garage which happened to be a Ford garage, and they listened and said it's definitely heater related and it will be fine to drive, so when i got home i went to mr T's and they said it could be a rearstat??? Anyway just to throw a spanner in the works, i was driving along with the g/f in the car and the air con was on and she said she felt cold water on her ankle??? Does this mean the heater matrix is knackered? blocked pipe/leaking pipe? If so how do you check? Any help would be great, cheers!
merckx
If you've got water in the passenger footwell it could be nothing else but a leak from either the heater matrix , the pipes or other stuff connected , whatever the cause of the leak it would have to be investigated. Dashboard out to get access, time consuming! Your coolant level would start to go down!
supra dan
could possibly be the condesation draining into the cabin, maybe a blocked or broken pipe
