Im hoping this posts ok but since about mid day today the forum is not working properly for me. (its taken me several atempts to post this)

keep getting lots of these- Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to http://www.mkivsupra.net

OR when the page does load its just txt no image and the order is all over the place.

Thought it was google chrome so tried IE and it wouldnt even load anything as if the site does not exist! :s finally got it to load but its the same as chrome.

Bit confused by it all, as every other site is working perfect so it doesn't seem to be a problem with my internet connection, am i the only one with the problem?

im using talk talk but if it was the internet service provider would i not have a problem on all other sites/forums?

It doesn't work like that unfortunately. Certain ISPs don't like talking to certain hosts. All to do with the security they run AFAIK.

didnt realise that, it just seemed strange to me as I have never had a problem before.

Forums like this aren't generally effected as far as I know, it's more unsecure hosts and dodgy type hosting that causes errors. Sometimes the security will spit the dummy and just point blank refuse to allow connection though. I had a problem a few years back where I kept getting blocked from another forum, the host server security software of the forum saw me as a threat for some reason :innocent:

Maybe your ISP has had a little glitch and it's causing issues. Not really sure as I don't know the inner workings of all this interweb stuff, someone is refusing to shake hands though I would guess :D

All us Virgin people had an issue a while back with connecting to the forum. Went seriously slow for weeks.

Eventually fixed itself.

ISPs sometimes get bad routes in their system which means traffic to a specific site doesnt quite go the way it should. Which means sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesnt.

Usually sorts itself, but if it doesnt then give talktalk a call and log a fault.

I had this problem on Monday... about 5 minutes after I'd finished the forum upgrade! Had it of been during the upgrade I'd have been pretty fecked off! :) Anyway, whilst the problem was happening I was still securely logged into the server and could see everything was happy that end, so the problem is definitely a routing issue with the ISPs. Mine has been fine since.

I'm on talktalk and I can only access the site via my 3G on my phone at the moment. Connections still desperately slow.

My home computer (mac) using safari just won't connect to the site at all and yet everything else works fine.

As above it appears it's an issue with talktalk. Is there anything I can do to sort this.

I'm suffering withdrawal here guys!!!
