DaveD
I recently picked up a OEM flywheel which supposedly has 12k miles from the United States. That's about 20,000 KMs. If you run your your finger along some parts its not exactly smooth (bit bumpy), not sure what you wanna call it.. hot spots or stress marks? If I just put it in like this it should be fine? If I have to get it machined that isn't a problem since its cheap.. but I have read somewhere that the OEM flywheel is not that easy to machine? http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/3716/img0383ab.jpg

Chris Wilson
You cannot re grind dual mass flywheels, if it passes the factory manual movement test routine it should be OK to re use, if not, weigh it in. As for the hot spots, doesn't look too bad, probably OK from that point of view.
