First off, Bought the car last march, Haven't done anything to the car since i have had her . For those who don't know it is a 1994 J-Spec N/A 5 Speed. This is the car before I start any work. My target is to Convert it to a 1jz gte, (2.5 twin turbo), tidy the bodywork up and make it how i want it . So i set off on the hunt for the Engine and the prices varied from £750-£1200 !. Which i thought was pretty expensive so i waited and kept searching as you do , if you have a budget. Another day, another search. I came across this Toyota Soarer with the 1jz in her on ebay , which i instantly bid on at £600, Cut the story short i bought it for £750, bought as seen!. Cheers for the lift *magictorch* And driving the Tank back , . Here is the Toyota Soarer (AkA. The Tank The Soarer's weight is mental! 1700kgs! The engines are 280Bhp- 268 Ft lbs. So one day when We were Free, * Offland + neilthenut* Big thanks to them. As i was clueless!! . We took upon taking the 1jz out. Then it was jacked up, bonnet removed. All Oils drained, pipework and electrics removed. *Offland taken off the Downpipe and disconnecting the gearbox. Engine Out with Offland and neilthenut ha. When the engine is out, these will be replaced (tell me if you think more does, as im clueless ) -Auxillary belt bought -Timing belt bought -Timing belt tensioner bought -Spark plugs -bought -Oil filter -bought -fuel filter bought- -Fresh 10-40 fully synthetic oil -pulleys refurbished -Gaskets- manifold-bought, Turbo -Boost pipes-silicon bought -power steering fluid Buying for BPU - FMIC- Bought- awaiting delivery - Turbosmart manual boost controller with guage - Turbosmart Fuel cut Defender. - Bee rev limiter bought- - Walbro uprated fuel pump - Ultra Cold spark plugs iridium.- bought - HKS SSQV with hard 3" pipe- bought - Competition Clutch, Stage 4 - 6 Pad Rigid Ceramic bought-awaiting delivery Will keep updated and a massive Thanks to Matt and neil! My old car, I loved it the way it was - you better do a good job ; ) I seen you about two weeks ago going into Cheshire Oaks it still looks great, sure you don't want to buy a TT and sell me that one back? Yeh i popped in there mrs dragged me there :S. It was abit dirty though . Ill do a fine job mate, Chris wilson is close ! ha, A manual TT still go for quite abit :S, this way TT for less . I think thats for 400ftlbs, I am running 427hp and 430ftlbs through mine never slipped once, there are a couple of threads on here seem to get good reviews all the time, yes if you change the gearbox then you will need a different clutch to suit the new gearbox Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
