Kopite
Looking at the iPhone 4s and just wondering which programme you friendly lot used to jailbreak without it all going horribly wrong
johnny g
I'm staying away from Jailbreak on iOS5 for now. It's a tethered JB, which isn't great. There's a tethered JB coming soon, apparently. If you do want to use it, then try sn0wbreeze,

I don't use a lot of jailbreak apps, most just a few nice features which may be on IOS5 for all i know (e.g. tap to unlock)
johnny g
To be honest, apart from the TVoutput feature in JB, I've not missed Jailbreak.
Kopite
http://www.jailbreaknation.com/jailbreak-5.0.1-untethered-on-iphone-4s-ipad-2-with-absinthe Anyone tried this?
grahamc
Not tried that, but tried to live with a tethered phone, lasted 3 days. Had to reboot at work and nothing worked as it should have....
CJ
I have tried tethered in the past - not for me.

Wez
Mine was tethered with iOS5.1 on a 3GS, never again, luckily un-tethered has been available for a while now
Miguel
Mine was tethered with iOS5.1 on a 3GS, never again, luckily un-tethered has been available for a while now How do you find the 3GS runs on iOS 5.1 whether jailbroken or not? It's ruined my 3GS making it slow and prone to crashing, which it never did on iOS4.**. I wish there was an easy way to roll back.

Mind you, I had not used it on the previous software to compare speeds with.
Miguel
Think it might be time to burn this thing then! Countless clean installs and resets have done nothing to solve the problem. Since upgrading the keyboard response has been very laggy, some E-mails crash when trying to reply meaning you have to compile all over again, and Safari locks up and home-screens more times than I care to mention...very frustrating to use compared to pre iOS5.0.
CJ
I occasionally get the keyboard slowing but pretty infrequently. As for safari, I never use it as I much prefer to use an app called Opera Mini. Never had any issues with that as a browser.

GazzaGSi
Done 3 iPhone 4S jailbreaks with Absinthe 0.4 for windows and 1 iPad 2. Never came across any problems, nor any since they've been jailbroken and it is the most simple program I've used to jailbreak. Just a shame the 4S can't be unlocked yet. I've got a white AT&T 4S sat here doing nothing. Bought it before realising there was no unlock software available yet Do'H!.
