carlmhtt
Im about to drop my head back onto the block. I have metal gasket in place. Other than making sure the head is flat & clean are there any other sealants etc. that need to be applied before placing the head on the gasket or is it just a case of tighten bolts to required torques? Chris Wilson
No, both surfaces need to be clinically clean, dry and flat, and the gasket needs to be the right way up and round, and this too needs to be clinically clean, but DO NOT use solvents on it. Thanks chris, I thought as much but wanted to check before fitting.
