Parry_10
Is this possible guys? the car is an na and the engine is a tt if that makes any difference. Ive looked at the two hoses going into the bulkhead and one of the rubber hoses is alot shorter than the other making it impossible to get them round the wrong way..? Delboy52
These heater cores are the same as a regular radiator in the house or a water cooled computer. Shouldn't matter which way round the pipes go as long as they reach without pinching.
hodge
It makes no difference.
James
It's pretty difficult to get them 'wrong' due to the shape of them but shouldn't matter anyway
Parry_10
Ok just I've been told having them the wrong way round could cause the heater to only blow luke warm air but it doesn't seem possible to switch them over
Dnk
Mine has custom hoses on which got fitted on the opposite way to which they were originally which i didn't know about. I had the same luke warm heater afterwards and couldn't figure out why, all was perfect on my car before, new matrix, fully bled through, lovely hot heater etc. I changed the heater control units checked just about everything there is to check, i even cut the top matrix hose and fitted my own custom made bleed valve T piece, re bled the system several times all no joy. Then one day i was at Ibrars and we got chatting about this and that and i raised my heater issue with him, we swapped the pipes over and bingo the heater was back to normal. So theres either been a major coincidence or swapping the pipes did cure my heater problem. Hence i mentioned it to Parry
