I would say so. I often shy away from custom built PCs, in case they've been built by a spotty oik in his bedroom who used it to learn how to build PCs. However, that's unlikely. Specs seems reasonably good: the 5GB of RAM is worth having, although it is an odd number: sometimes RAM sticks need to be installed in pairs to get the best out of them. Maybe that doesn't apply to the motherboard he's used, or maybe he's installed 2x2Gb and 2x512MB to make the 5GB. Even if he hasn't paired them, don't let that put you off.

It's a good deal. The fact that it's collection only and the ad seems a little dodgy can only mean that it will go for far less than it's worth so I would say go for it.

There is something quite off about it though. There is no reason/benefit to have 5GB of ram, having "payed" £200 for the motherboard and the processor this would suggest that he built it himself yet he doesn't seem very technically minded when describing the PC.

As it's cash on collection I'd say go for it though :)

RAM config is all wrong. A big sign of being built by some oik that does not know what they are doing.

No mention of Model motherboard along with no HDD, CDRW or RAM brand.

Certainly not a fast PC and will only just run said games on very low settings.

£280 inc the monitor is not a bad price and would make a pretty good bog standard rig.
