Lude
lol ok, for clarification, these are what i am refering to... polishing cloth machine angle grinder http://www.mr-skill.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Mr-Skill-Makita-Angle-Grinder.jpg are the discs compatible with each other, or are they completly different types of machine/speeds etc
pedrosixfour
Polishing machine spins an awful lot slower than an angle grinder, your plan will not work.
Lude
will invest in a pololishing machine then wouldnt want to take the layer of paint off lol
Stonkin
You will need to know the rpm's the machine runs at. You will also need to be able to fit a flexible backing plate to attach the pad to, as opposed to the polishing 'bonnet' pictured above. Polishing machines designed for the job also generally have a soft start feature. I would get the correct tool or can see it ending in tears
peter richards
plus you will need small pads and backing plate for the lights
dr_jekyll
if it has variable speed it will be fine if you turn it down. i use mine to polish on level 2 . level 6 to chop things up
