Hammer
One moment that stands out for me is when I first bought the Supra. I had gone over to the mainland to view the car and put a down payment on it and arranged to pick it up the following weekend. I had just pulled onto the M27 from the M3, driving a very nice looking FTO at the time, road was pretty empty and a Lotus Elise pulls along side. I wasn't in the mood to play or be humiliated so I let him go off on his own. Suddenly in my rear view loomed a low, red, TS bonnet, wingless Supra. As he pulled along side he gave the FTO a look and then with a howl set off after the Lotus. Once on him the Lotus was obviously giving it everything but had to concede and the Supra screamed off into the distance. I just sat there and thought, I've got one of those, I can't wait. So if you're on here mate, thanks and your Supra looked lovely.
TUNERAIDER
I remember picking up mine at ten thirty at night on a very dark september. Had to get the speedometer changed to mph and some other bits i wanted after the import. The showroom who imported her for me closed at six and the work wasnt finished. So one of the guys picked her up for me and i drove down in the old car for px to his house. I will always remember the first time i saw my supra at night lit up by the street lights. looked bad ass and very shiny. So jumped in started her up and drove 70 miles home with the biggest ear bending grin on my face. she did try and kill me twice, once when i pulled onto the motorway from a slip road and burned out in second. Ass end making s shapes for 20 foot. Not ready for the power after my old car, fiats dont try and kill you. And the second time was out of shock at the feeling of 70 on the motorway but the reality of looking at the dash and seeing treble digits showing on the speedo. needless to say i adjusted my speed immediately in accordance to the law and felt terrible for the aforementioned infringement.
