Good post!

 

Notice also on the kick he goes towards the top of the bag, this ensures the highest part of the body takes impact, much easier than for someone to topple over. Personally as his coming into me with that kick, I'd just swivel out of the way & straight blow to both the face & stomach... Wing Chun style.

Agreed. Or just quickly step towards him as he takes his run up, in an unsporting like manner :D

Both good examples taking what you two have said my idea aint too different.

 

Side step towards him closing his distance and throw a right elblow towards the face and if the side kick of his doing is the step side kick his head should be at a lower angle which means the elbow have time to develop speed.:D that should give him something to think about next time he side kicks
