Chris Wilson
I have a few wealthy friends, but this kinda wealth beats it all. A friend has recently returned from doing some engine work for the Diniz family (uncle of Pedro Diniz, F1 driver). He brought some pics back of the town house, country farmhouse and leisure centre, private race track and pits complex, and some of their toys (Lear jet, 2 ultra rare race mercedes, Lister race car and Lister road car, 1 million quid helicopter, and visitors who dropped by to play in cars, like the Fittipaldis. No wonder the bugger is so hard to track down, Sao Paulo seems a lot more desirable than Shropshire I suppose... ftp://ftp.chriswilson.tv look in the Brazil folder. Wouldn't mind those toys in MY garage!

Chris Wilson
The genuine GT40 is gorgeous. But the two DTM Mercedes are very special, he has to have the Bosch technicians fly over from germany to sort out any ECU glitches or for re mapping or data logging issues, they won't allow software in anyone elses hands, and they fly first class only and at 1500 quid a day labour... Expensive toys to run, but WHAT toys. I like the pics of one of the estates security guys who popped in to see everything was OK, carrying his pump action 12 gauge.... The Bugatti is pretty cool too, hell, EVERYTHING is pretty cool. I wish I'd worked harder at school

The Mercedes race cars are detailed here: http://www.dtm.de/fahrzeug.en.php?id=2 The silver car with gullwing type doors is a Bugatti, with 4 turbos. The silver car in one of thr background shots is a Jaguar 220, and the dark car with the TWR engine is a one off Lister Storm road car with a full race TWR engine in it. The Bugattis look even more stunning in the flesh. VERY expensive though, so they SHOULD look a bit special I am curious as to just what the helicopter is, it's a big bugger! Aerotop Dave
If I remember correctly the Diniz family are the Brazilian equivalent of the Sainsbury family in the UK (ie, big in supermarkets) Edit: Isn't the copter an Augusta? Edit again: Isn't that Emerson Fittipaldi? http://gatesgarth.com/Brazil/102-0272_IMG.JPG ('72 + '74 F1 champ)

It is Emerson, I think Christian is there too, as is Jamie Campbell-Walter, in the Lister, as he seems to be the guy who pedals it faster than anyone!
