Toyota GT-86(FT-86) beatiful concept to ugly production

The pics of the GT-86 originally FT-86 are coming out of the Toyko Motor show

and I have to say, what the hell were Toyota thinking

The concept car was sleak and well designed, really going back to the way they used to design cars in the late 80's and 90's, things of beauty to the eye

but proberbly due to the safety laws in the states they end up building this mess of a design and I have to say it's absolutely ugly, a total cock up from Toyota in my mind.

A badly bodykitted Hyundai Coupe anyone:(

Really thought this was going to be the start of some nice looking cars coming from Toyota again, but sadly not, guess the wife will be keeping the Honda for a while yet

Someone needs a slap. Evidently the designer was watching fast and furious and reading max power as he did that!!

Just when you thought Toyota might be getting back to some of the old glory days they mess it all up.

If they do revive the Supra, I have no confidence in the design department to make a car I will like the look of regardless of the performance aspects.

hopefully Subaru learn from this with their version the BRZ and the production car looks like it's concept :D

Hang on, am I missing something here? I know Subaru were building the engine with Toyota for the FT-86 but I did not realise that they were both going to make the same car!!

That picture is of the FT-86 but rebadged. How bizarre.
