DodgyRog
The pics of the GT-86 originally FT-86 are coming out of the Toyko Motor show and I have to say, what the hell were Toyota thinking The concept car was sleak and well designed, really going back to the way they used to design cars in the late 80's and 90's, things of beauty to the eye but proberbly due to the safety laws in the states they end up building this mess of a design and I have to say it's absolutely ugly, a total cock up from Toyota in my mind. A badly bodykitted Hyundai Coupe anyone:( Really thought this was going to be the start of some nice looking cars coming from Toyota again, but sadly not, guess the wife will be keeping the Honda for a while yet
Scott
That side profile has been completely ruined
ripped_fear
oh god what the hell they have changed it AGAIN, and this has to be the worst re design yet. scraping that of my christmas list now if its a new jap car needed r35 seems the only way to go
Havard
They surely haven't taken such a backward step after all the pictures of the concept that have been floating about over the last couple of years? It's a car we would have considered otherwise. H.
DodgyRog
Those pic's are from Toyota's own press release before the Toyko Motor Show This is the car as they intend to try and sell it.....Good Luck with that one Mr.T
JamieP
Looks terrible, massive balls up on that one.
Scott
The comparison of the back end is ridiculous. It's as if they accidentally mixed up the Subarpoo design drawings with their own.

Dnk
It's not great but the concept cars back end was too similar to the 350z for my liking
Westy
Ugly!!!
mwilkinson
Someone needs a slap. Evidently the designer was watching fast and furious and reading max power as he did that!! Just when you thought Toyota might be getting back to some of the old glory days they mess it all up. If they do revive the Supra, I have no confidence in the design department to make a car I will like the look of regardless of the performance aspects. Dan_Turism0
hopefully Subaru learn from this with their version the BRZ and the production car looks like it's concept

I know Subaru were building the engine with Toyota for the FT-86 but I did not realise that they were both going to make the same car!! That picture is of the FT-86 but rebadged. How bizarre. Supra Gaz
Well, great, thanks MR.T, you have ballsed that up. I was thinking about this as a new car next year, but no. I will have to save up a bit longer for a R35 I think. A good opportunity missed there...
dr_jekyll
car companies really annoy me, they draw all these wonderfull pictures of these amazing concept cars and then release the ugly unapealing trolleys. why bother waisting time and money on concepts that are never going to happen, grrrrrrrrr
Dim Sum
are we still talking the same car still? http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/News/Search-Results/First-Official-Pictures/Toyota-FT-86-concept-2011-first-official-pictures/ because if so thats a disappointment Maybe Toyota will release a sporty version which will look better? Always wanted a batmobile
Marty
Fingers crossed that is just the bog standard model and the souped up sporty one looks far better.

h89mps
Rear tyres look thin, considering its a RWD sports car. Doesn't look as aggressive as the concepts. The power is also quite disappointing. This car will be no where near as popular as the AE86.
