Forum activity pattern

After being on the forum all day every day for the past however long, I've noticed a pattern in the activity on here.

On Mondays it's sort of busy with a few new threads and a few posts here and there, then Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday get a bit quiet with not a lot going on. The busiest day seems to be Friday with lots of new threads and posts going on.

Then on Saturday and Sunday, it seems to be steady-ish (pretty much the same as Mondays).

I can only assume that people are fed up with being at work on a Monday so they just look on here, then for the middle of the week they're just getting on with things at work. Then Fridays, people are excited about the weekend and are forgetting about work so come on here. Then over the weekend, most people are busy doing other stuff than being on here.

Just an observation :)

Im adding that to the

"you know when you love your supra to much when" list

"You know the posting habits of the owners club"

Id guess that mondays posts are things that happened over the weekend to people with lives to live. Sat and sunday are the ones that dont. Not sure where you fit in mind.

I've been on all day every day for the past week and I've noticed a different pattern from you. The pattern I notice is what I would expect really....

6am - 12pm not a lot going on. You can spot the "I don't work" and the "I work in IT" guys a mile away as they are the only ones you really see on here. I'm under the "I don't work" criteria by the way, even though I'm employed :innocent:

12pm - 6pm It picks up a little bit. Generally people start getting their lunch breaks then and pop on for a view. The latter half of the day is often less hectic so more people jump on on their phones etc, not to mention they have woken up. Also, as people are coming on on their lunch breaks posts start to increase so people on their phones have something to reply to etc. Generally people on phones won't start threads/topics, as it's more hassle on a phone, they will happily join into threads etc then hence why there is an increase after lunchtime.

From around 6pm people start getting home and the forum starts to get a bit of a buzz. This calms down generally by around 10pm, peaking at about 8-9pm. By 11pm it's slowed right down with the same few members contributing to most of the live threads.

The 'what days are quiet' is generally random other than the weekend. A few key memebers can be the difference between a quiet night and a busy night on the forum. It's topic starters, bumpers and general conversation starters that make the forum buzz. People who tend to reply mostly and not start a lot don't really get things going as much. This can be the difference you have noticed on monday vs tuesday etc. Perhaps on Monday there weren't as many initiators on.

On a Saturday things generally quieten down because of people going out. Friday can be the same but as it's the end of the week and mostly mature people are on here I'm guessing most people will sit and chill on a Friday night, perhaps with a few brews to keep them warm. Saturday is the formal "going out" night, so things will often get a little bit quieter then. This will often lead onto Sunday when the hangovers set in.

HTH.
