Havard
The look of the car first and foremost or the cost of getting it looking the way I want it. Obviously low mileage/spec and condition are major considerations. H.
add heywood
I went for spec/looks first, then who was actually selling it (Jurgen)...
Jamesy
A fit, half naked chic draped over the bonnet usually attracts me to a decent Supra for sale advert.....
Bossco
All about looks and condition for me. Price is obviously important but it's not what draws me in. I used to be a big beleiver in "you get what you pay for" but over the last few years I couldnt disagree with that statement more.
Gaz6002
An honest history.
RCK10
History Engine Condition Colour is also quite a big one for me, as its pretty expensive to change if you don't like it. Neil-NA
For me it was the following - Colour, had to be white N/A 5 speed Pre facelift Stock body. I had 7.5k to play with and found my ideal car for 3300.
Attero
Colour Mileage Standardness of the engine How much it will cost to fix/return to standard 6 speed 5 speed for autotest events, yes. The owner of the car could put me off terribly. Edited November 23, 2011 by Attero (see edit history)
Josh
6 speed TT Mileage History UK Spec (once insurance was checked) Colour wasn't an issue at all. I was always thinking black, but once I decided on a UK TT6, I don't think I could have been picky with the colour
Guest Paul64
A stock N/A manual is a good choice cheap too,you can always get a TT later.
The Raven
When i got my aero i didnt care about anything other than it was HPI clear.
SupraDan24
First thing that draws me in is spec if i'm honest, then how it looks. Next i'd say i look at who owns the car and for how long, then at the condition. Mileage isnt a deal breaker for me, but i'd need to know its been well looked after. Someone who services it himself isnt the end of the world either, i dont need loads of Toyota receipts infront of me to ease my mind, receipts for parts, and knowing the guy is genuine is enough for me. I dont buy my cars to resell them though so my ideals may be different from other peoples.
James
Colour, condition, spec.
Rob_Mitchell
If i wanted to buy a ready done single turbo ill look at the owner and work carried out and who carried the work out on it. Plus a decent spec and parts list would make me decide on it or not.
hodge
I don't think I would EVER buy a modded car. I've yet to work on or own a modded car that has been done elsewhere that the work has actually impressed. If I were to buy another Supra I would got for a totally standard very clean example. I would look at the owner and his latom of total in how clean the car is kept. This would tell me a lot about how the car was treated. I could probably count on 1 hand the amount of modded cars I would actually buy and not pull apart and do it what I would deem as properly. Attero
I don't think I would EVER buy a modded car. I've yet to work on or own a modded car that has been done elsewhere that the work has actually impressed.. I've yet to own a modded car full stop. I would much prefer to own a stock TT6 than anything else, and then mod it myself (by getting the garages I know best to do it!). I don't trust anyone. Jurgen-Jm-Imports
condition of the overall car is the most important for me. - as if condition is good the likelyhood everything else will.

Abz
I noticed a lot of people put service history at the top priority, is their a particular reason? The only reason I don't regard it so highly as that isn't a way to confirm a good car. My sister brought a Mercedes A Class ('04), and they were adamant that it had to have service history. They looked at this & brought the car on the basis it has been looked after as it is dealer stamped. 3 weeks later the gearbox goes on a car with only 60k on the clock! £1,500 & loads of trips to the garage it is resolved! Though as I explained to them, would you rather buy a car which has been looked after & taken care of with no dealer stamps or one which has been dropped at the dealer every couple of years it starts driving odd for a service.
