mrmyagiii
My fuel mixture smells really badly rich and fuel economy has gone down alot. So thats most likely to be an 02 sensor that likes to get replaced. This is were my dumbness kicks in, where is that #%^@ located? I thought it was in 1st cat but thats a temp sensor i`ve been told. The car is an Jspec TT so it should only have 1 02 sensor according to my search results.
Scott
It's next to the cat temp sensor as far as I know, it will just be at a different angle/location.
Supranature
At the bottom of the exhaust manifold. Stand with your legs touching the drivers wing and look to the base of the manifold. You will see a 4/5mm black wire coming out, the engine side being the sensor, the wire being the 4 needed (in one) going to the front top of the engine on the same side. The clip is a bar steward to undo.
Nic
You can see the oxygen sensor in the foreground of the pic below. Removing the turbo heat shield will give you access to the oxygen sensor (1 on a J-spec TT). http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/1557/turbosk.jpg
