Some donkey has parked across my driveway for last two days - what can I do

Can't you just call a tow company and get it removed? The owner will just have to pay the tow company to get it out the tow yard. I used to do it if someone parked at my business illegally in Canada. They can't possibly be allowed to block people's driveways in this

country can they? I would of had it towed within the first day.

Ben S zr - thanks for your offer, and all the guys for the suggestions *note to self, dont get on the wrong side of most of the guys who have posted on this thread!

The extreme actions are very tempting but I want to stay on the correct side of legal! Thing is if I do something drastic then chances are it will come back to me as I have already reported it to the police and they just have to put 2 and 2 together and knowing my luck I will get blamed for moving it. When I reported it to the police they said they should be able to contact the owner through the PNC but I am assuming they have gone on holiday and not contactable as the local police have said they cannot reach them, I dont know if they have gone to their house or tried to call them or even if they hold the details for each drivers mobile/home number on the PNC?

Yes the Q7 could do it and I could possibly move it but chances are they might be nutters and could come back and decide they want to damage my cars, I cant risk my cars being keyed or worse, equally my wife and baby are indoors during the day hence why I'm being patient, last thing I want is some nutter knocking on my door and im not in.

Anyway the missus has gone away to her cousins for 4 days and I am at a conference from tomorrow night onwards for 3 days so hopefully it would have gone by then or the police would have found the culprit

Jesus. You are the calmest person I have ever encountered. I would have given it an hour before the red mist would have got the better of me. You just DO NOT park in front of peoples drives. There are plenty of cars out there with mindless damage done to them and i wouldn't want my car adding to those statistics.

Good luck. I hope it's gone when you return or they may have squatters rights..!!

This reminds me of a news story where some parked actually on a random persons drive and cleared off on holiday for ages blocking them in. The guy who owned the property wasn't aloud to touch the car dispite it being on his land. The police said if it got damaged in any way then he'd be arrested for criminal damage. I suspect that is also why the police can't do anything when it's on a public road, if it got damaged they would then become liable? Is it any wonder society is going to hell.

Total nightmare when people do this, my wife parks outside of the empty house over the road and the person who live's next door parks with the bumpers touching, so after a few days of them keep doing it i parked my frontera there instead.

And guess what they did exactly the same blocking me in NOW thats not a good idea when it comes to me lol, so i jumped in the jeep stuck it in 4wd low and reverse about 15 feet down the road pushing there car in to the middle of the road.

I then drove back to where i was parked and checked the damage to there citreon picasso and turned out id dented the bonnet and smashed the front bumper OH WELL these things happen lol, checked my frontera and the front of there car had cleaned the dirt of mine lol.

So if this wasent enough i then decided to get my valve removing tool out and continued to remove the valves from all 4 tyres leaving it about 2 inches of the floor making it almost impossible to jack up.

Strange thing after they never came over to say anything AND now keep a nice gap, im sure they know its me but ive had running with them before so probabaly think its a good idea to say nothing.
