Battlefield 3, HD content on Xbox - HELP

OK, got Battlefield 3 yesterday. Bloke in the shop says make sure you download the HD content from the disc as it make the game lots better.

I have Black Xbox 360 4Gb version.

I insert disc, click to download HD content (which says it needs 1.5Gb free memory and i have 2.4Gb free). Then I get a message saying that it wont let me download the HD content as its only possible to download it on an Xbox hard drive

Whats going on?

Ive checked the on-board memory (which I thought was classed as the hard drive) and the description of this on the screen is that this storage is a "memory Unit" not a hard drive.

Now i can only play the game with less than expected graphics.

Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know how i can upgrade the memory on a 4Gb Xbox?

Bad news....the 4GB model cannot handle Battlefield 3 and the high res texture pack at all. Totally crap I know. Getting a bigger HDD might help but I don't think this can run off a flash drive.

Ughhhh, doesn't mention any 4gb slim compatibility issues on the box, although does mention needs a 2Gb HDD (i thought the 4Gb on-board was HDD, but obviously not as it sounds like flash memory).

Ive just been looking on ebay for HDD upgrades. I can get a 20Gb one for £15. and there are loads of non-OE options available. Have you any idea if these work/will be as good as OE?
