I'd love to be a mechanic but can't afford to stop working. If I could find an apprenticeship then I would do it but no where near me has any jobs going.

As i said earlier mechanic would be ideal for me but im to old (36) to start an apprenticeship.

Lol at everyones' ideas :D

I work in a call centre on a helpline dealing with shares. Don't enjoy it at all and the only jobs getting back to me are for similar things (which I'm not going to do).

Anyone want to employ me? You could even employ me to post for you, if you want a high post count. Only 1p per post! :D

Josh

Yer I'm done with my job. I'm in retail management.

I've had 2 promotions without pay rises, and I've been doing the managers position for a year and half. My job title is "Acting/trainee Manager" even though I've been doing it for ages. They refuse to pay me more also don't want to give me the official managers title and was only meant to be trainee for 6 months till I'd be made manager!

Its ridiculous and drives me nuts with the amount sh!t I have to deal with.

I recently had a review and they just came up with things like "Problem is Paul no one knows what's going on, I speak to Adam he doesn't know, I speak to Nick he doesn't know" ect.

So I reply "In what what way know ones knows what's going on?" And to cut a long story short they couldn't answer me and tried to change the subject.

After speaking to the other staff being Nick and Adam they said they never even spoke to the MD that was giving the review. So I haven't a clue were I truly stand and I see this going on for years!

Sorry to go on there lol But I need out asap! My dream job will be building PC's, fixing them, but not in a shop more for a company that uses PC's, so I suppose IT support for business's. Or a trainee mechanic fitting big brakes, turbo's, exhausts etc.. But I don't know as much on how to do that over Pc's.

But in all honesty Id do most thing if the opportunity came up If it means getting out of the company I'm with and retail.

Sad thing is I don't actually "hate" my job its juts the principle of what's actually happening and they way there treating me after being with them for 8 years working well hard working my way up in the ranks. From bottom to top.
