supralu
Hello people , I need some help please. My lovely wife wants to get me grandstand tickets for the silverstone grand prix next year for Xmas. Problem is, I have no idea where the best place is to see most on-track action. So if anyone can give some advice that'd be much appreciated. Cheers!
Lbm
Thing is, even if you have a Grandstand ticket for the Start-Finish line etc...you'll find you might want to walk about a bit to see all the different aspects.

Jimmy James
Woodcote and village are best in my opinion. Sat at village last year which is just after the first corner across from pit exit. Woodcote is before the start/finish line with a good view of a nice series of corners.

Josh
In the bar near a tele Sounds like the best idea to me! You can't see up close replays and that in real life. Doesn't sound as good though
Dnk
Unless you have vip passes and go there in a helicopter i wouldn't bother, very overated, overpriced and way too many people who are all in your way Tele at home with a few tins or down your local is far better imo
supralu
Thanks for the advice, but I'd still really like to go to a grand prix and get the experience. I was thinking of maybe taking a little road trip for Spa GP as an alternative.
Jimmy James
I'm buying my tickets for silverstone beginning of January. Hoping to get village again, there's a nice big screen opposite side of track for the replays
merckx
It's a great experience if you haven't been before. If you want to see some overtaking with the DRS at the end of Hangar Straight into Stowe. Opposite the pits especially if you can get at the front of the grid, you'll be able to see the drivers walking around being interviewed and all the other stuff not to mention the start. On a few occasions we've watched just after Copse, the speed they go through Copse is unbelievable.
Tyson
Why not take a portable tv with you or iphone etc to see the rest of the action ?

supralu
Just came back from Abu Dhabi last Sunday. We sent it out there last month. Didn't have the engine in as I could pick it up quite easily. Or I'm really really strong ;-)

TheTurtleshead
Nice picture luke! Did they mind you pissing about with the car or were they not watching? Might I recommend LeMans for a truly awesome experience, I missed it this year but I will be going next july!
supralu
Ha, they wern't watching James! As long as we don't damage the cars it's all good. Maybe in a few years I'll go to LeMan.
