Reeves1
Hi people Newbie here! I dunno if this is the right area, but need a few tips and guides as ive not driven something like this before. im looking to do a few choice upgrades on the outside subtle not OTT. The herself is being delivered in Feb its a 1995 N/A Aero top. She is currently black but thinking of having a wrap done to pearl white! Im looking for ideas of carbon fibre parts like the rear spoiler but nothing OTT (ideally a partial carbon fibre), The Hood, Decent set of Alloys with the right tyre set up. just looking for a subtle look but not a stock look. so any ideas, places you can recommend etc would be much appericated. Rear wing something similar to this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRD-3000GT-Toyota-Supra-NA-TURBO-Carbon-Spoiler-Blade-/140579591427?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bb325503 (btw im on the southcoast, so places near there) Edited November 17, 2011 by Reeves1 (see edit history)
Noz
Welcome! Parts like these are not common mate, you can buy carbon supra parts will be dotted all around the country and maybe further. Not many supra shops down this way. Google supra carbon and you can find lots of goodies, hoods, boots, wings. ive looked into making a carbon fibre spoiler before due to the treatment requires its a pain. Little num has wrapped his and it looks fairly tidy. Unless you go with a half carbon TRD wing or aftermarket of course. For bodykit ideas check the bodykit sticky thread Seem to be getting lots of southwest members here lately!
Reeves1
Yer ive done alot of market research, i found lots on google, ebay and gumtree however id rather have a look at them in person to be able to get a proper idea how the will look cause i dont think pictures do it justice. seen as your down south can you recommend a good supra garage to have a good service and dyno? Noz
for a service id recommend any respectable garage you trust. only when your tampering with things would you need to go to someone who is a proven specialist IMO. i service my own but thats to try and save the pennies. there are a few decent dyno's down plymouth, but if its just for a slight tune you should be ok. id recommend travelling if you wanted to install some serious gear and get a map done but thats new ECU or piggy back stuff so you should be ok somewhere thats got a good reputation as a dyno tune will normally only involve playing with the timing. Reeves1
fair enough, im just interested in seeing the difference of before its serviced to after its serviced and then the few goodies im going to add until i can afford the 6 speed manual lol! Dnk
Most carbon fibre parts for the supra are not upgrades, most are fibreglass with carbon fibre wrapped over them. If these parts were the real deal and just made from carbon fibre using vaccum packed moulds and cooked in an autoclave they be 3 times if not more the cost of most of the custom stuff you can buy. Reeves1
See, Im after the real deal, cost dont mind, as ive set a side about couple grand for body parts, so price isnt a real big deal, just looking for some reputible dealers i can go through etc.

Check out their section for ideas on parts and costs.
Dnk
Just about every TRD rear wing/spoiler you see is fibreglass wrapped in c/f hence its only approx £300. I have one and wished i'd saved my cash to buy the real deal. If you look at properly made c/f wings like the top secret one i've posted the picture of then thats $2600 before you import it. Seibon make c/f parts for the supra and i think Whiffbitz sell them, also NUR motorsport do custom c/f, i've used neither though but their prices do appear to be for properly made c/f parts Edited November 17, 2011 by Dnk (see edit history)
