tbourner Posted November 16, 2011 Share Posted November 16, 2011 Bought ourselves a Samsung HT-C5500 system last Christmas from Amazon. In May it broke, making funny noises from the drive tray. Amazon ordered me a new one and I sent it back - all easy and good. Last week the new one ate the wifes DVD (it was Glee so I'm not too fussed about that), had to pull the drawer out to get it back (she wouldn't let me send it back inside the system). Amazon won't replace it again so I'm getting a refund. So, now I need a new BR-HTS. Currently I'm looking at the following: Samsung HT-D5500 Sony BDV-E380 Was very happy with the Samsung apart from all the breaking, but my TV is an (OLD) Sony Bravia. Not sure if I'll be replacing the TV any time soon, or if it's really relevant to have the same stuff together (do you gain much?). Any opinions on the 2?
