Noz
Really incredible bay man. Modified OEM is right in so many ways. You've really kept the fashion of the bay there, with some amazing shiny modern pieces. I love how you have got everything shouting out at you, but the longer you look, the longer you spot little finishing touches.
Andrew K
Looking good as always Luc What type of hose clamps do you have on the hose linking the intercooler pipping to the inlet manifold?

black_widow87
Will there be much to gain from changing from the HKS manifold to SRD? I always thought HKS was top of the market in terms of flow and performance..
Luxluc
Will there be much to gain from changing from the HKS manifold to SRD? I always thought HKS was top of the market in terms of flow and performance.. Boost fell off above 7200rpm ... I hope that the SRD unit will keep boost better. Plus I had my HKS now for 10 years. Luxluc
Final update : SRD finished the works on my Supra beginning of this week. The pics speak more than 1000 words.
Luxluc
Lee quickly started running in the brand new engine on the SRD Dyno.
Luxluc
After the running in, we stared with the pump fuel mapping. The result was very impressive : 940 bhp and 654 ftlbs at wastegate pressure (1.4 Bar) on 98 Octan. Lee raised the Boost to 1.5 Bar, which gave 960bhp and 682 ftlbs. We didn't push the pump map higher, as I nevertheless run Ethanol all day long. Plus, with the higher compression setup, we didn't wanna take any risks. Luxluc
Lee then put Ethanol in the tank ; we decided to go for E75.
Luxluc
Suddenly, the following pic popped up on phone with the text: new speed record for our SRD dyno
Luxluc
The final result of the mapping session was simply awesome : 1117 bhp and 842 ftlbs of torque. Lee overlayed the dyno of my non-VVTi setup (blue curve) and the VVTi setup. I let you guys analyze yourself .... but those VVTi heads are simply amazing. Some figures : - at 3000 rpm : 270tq vs 380tq - at 3500 rpm : 330tq vs 500tq - at 4000 rpm : 470tq vs 700tq 700rpm gain of spool between 3000 and 4000 rpm. Thank you Andy. I knew the VVTi was a big step forward ... and SRD even went beyond. Lee said that it drives like a rocket on the streets ... boost at whatever gear or rpm you are. Luxluc
I ordered a set of HKS Hypermax 4 coilovers. Time for proper suspension. https://www.srdtuning.com/product/hks-hypermax-4-coilover-kit/
Noz
I've been looking at your dyno curve vs other 1000hp supra / cars. I'm in awe and people dont seem to point this out to other 1khp supras. I havent seen such a decent curve before. What do you feel contributes to this, what main points aside from the VVTi have you found really did get spool and power to initialise mate please.
