Luc's SRD1XXX Supra

Also fitted one of my 3" intercooler pipes which connects the turbo to the intercooler, Lucs old one was a 2.5" so too small.

One of our Whifbitz welded crank sprockets, worth while mod this, we've seen the crank sensor pickup fall off on these before which will instantly cut your engine.

Loving that Paul! Is that an S366? Thats what im going with it looks a tad bigger than I thought.

Its a Borg Warner S366 with the billet compressor wheel fitted to it mate. I can get them with race covers as well, 5" intake with a 9.5" compressor cover, BIG basically!

I see, sounds good. I've probably missed it somewhere but what power are you expecting to make with this to the hubs?

Plus a set of my 280deg 9.9mm lift cams, these babies work very well, been proven to 1336bhp so far on my own car! Tested back to back against HKS 280 cams these made an 30bhp.

Luc - Did you get your 505's yet?

If you need some tips on keeping them as new, then just let me know. ( have the same set)

I will get the rims as soon as I have my Baby back. I will contact you once done.

Cheers

Nice one Luc, what's the difference between the 280's from Whifbitz and SRD.

Good question matey. I don't think there is a huge difference. I wanted to try Paul's, and when he proposed his for free, I couldn't resist. :D

Some updates at last! The good news is its all back in the car and running, there was a big delay because of the first engine block going porous after boring. We've never seen this before, not on a 2JZ anyway, first time for everything though.

I took a few pictures as we went, I'll update with some new under bonnet pics & a soundclip soon.

How did you manage to fit the gearbox to the engine with that clutch in place Paul. I couldn't even get a single plate in with that hub sticking out. I had to slide the clutch onto the box and bolt it on through the inspection panel.

I thought the 300 series turbo only come with 3" exits or does that have a 3-4" adaptor welded on I cant really see.

Nice quality though I will want these for mine at some point.

Edit: Only just seen it needs a reducer welded on still...

Fingers crossed for the mapping Luc

Thanks Kaan. ;)

Yes..the small turbos (like mine) come with a 3" flange. 3"DP/MP are limited around 750bhp - 4" will allow easily 1100bhp.

In order to match a 4"DP to a little 66mm turbo, some welding is necessary. Bigger turbos such as 76mm units come directly with 4" flange.

The S366 with a billet wheel being a small turbo  easy capable of over 700hp. Mine was epic.

Don't get me wrong : I hope to see nice figures, but the turbo remains quite small in the turbo range usually used on the 2JZ engine :)

I hope to come as close as possible to 800rhhp though.

Ryan did some road mapping 2 days ago before the engine will be run in.

Thank Ryan. ;)

I will fly to Whifbitz on 06th of June early in the morning. Then quickly 300mls on 06th. A rapid oil change on 07th in the morning, and another 300mls. A last oil change on 07th in the afternoon. Then, some relaxing in the hotel on we of 08-09th.

On 10th after breakfast, I will head to Silverstone to meet Ryan at AME hub dyno.

Getting slightly excited now. :)
