Luxluc
For hybernation, I did put her on the old rims, as I didn't want the CCW's on the car without moving for 5 months. As soon as the weather gets better, the classics will be put on. I haven't removed the roof at all last year tbh .... I have to think about it this year. - - - Updated - - - I didnt know this was an aero, not seen many pics with the roof off! What happened to your CCW? Looking good Looking good mate!! Luxluc
I just ordered new oils and plugs for the Supra. - new engine oil - new filter - new gearbox oil - new diff oil - new spark plugs. I have done 3000mls on the plugs and gearbox/diff oil, and 1000 mls on the engine oil. Time for a change now.
Andrew K
What oil do you use in your gearbox Luc, the OEM Toyota v160 oil or something different?
Luxluc
Yes Andrew : Toyota V160 oil.
Kaan W
Do you have to change the engine oil every 1000 miles Luc?
Luxluc
I have done 1000mls on the engine oil and filter. Lots of power runs, including the races against the Shelby and a couple of Porsche kills. I prefer to change the oil now, especially after 5 months of hybernation. TheTurtleshead
Regular changes really do pay dividends!! When I first got mine it was quite dirty inside the head. In a year with 3 changes or excellent oil, with some hard driving, it's really cleaned up the inside of the head. It's getting back that lovely golden hue

Luxluc
The CCW classics will be mounted this week-end. They announce 15+°C on Monday. The Supra is booked in at my local Toyota garage on next week Friday (oils and spark plugs). I always drive off boost the first 150 mls, then slowly starting to get some boost over the next 150mls. Due to the fact that the engine hasn't run for 5 months, I never give it the beans in the beginning. 300mls of "running in" .... and then 2 bar :d Edited March 4, 2015 by Luxluc (see edit history)

Luxluc
I mounted the Classics today and took the Supra out for a little drive. It was great to be back behind the wheel again.
