a98pmalcolm
I'm talking about Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 Both games single players were pretty good I'd say and I'd give BF3 the win for that. But after many hours of playing the multiplayer side of the games I think there just irritating. What gets to me with MW3 is its the same as MW2 (which isnt so bad) but I wanted something a little new. BUT the most annoying thing is the statistics of of how quick players die. I empty a whole mag into some people and they don't die! And then they kill me with 2 shots in the gut! This happens 99% of the time and drives me nuts! BF3 is my 1st encounter with the BF franchise and the enemys aren't clear enough to see, they hardly ever show up on the map and there's nothing really to work towards for the amount of kills you make and the same when you get promoted. The weapon customisation takes FOREVER to unlock, and if you unlock it as a US solider it wont be unlocked if you get thrown into the other force! Ok I know there's people that will disagree with me but I just can't say what it did about Uncharted 3 "Its amazing" because the matter of the fact it both games are not. I'm a massive PC gamer fan, and have been playing 1st person shooters longer than I can remember but I feel that nothing new, original and fresh will become of 1st person shooters! Homefront was good I liked that it was new and had COD and BF strong points. Feel free to post up what you feel is better or if you have the same reasons that I feel let down and both were over hyped. Thanks Paul
jazz1
Mw3 feels far worse, I'm going to give it 2 months and see how inget on.....
Tyson
Battle field online games take nearly 30 minutes for one game !! That was enough for me to ditch it, pity as everything else is top notch.
Jimmy James
Battlefield bad company 2 is still my favourite.
SupraDan24
Granted i've only played MW3 for the frst 2 days, but i thought they'd done pretty well with altering the game play, try playing in "Support" role, its totally different to any COD before it. Granted they need to sort out the weapon damage business, which they no doubt will as they did it on black ops and got it pretty much spot on eventually. The main issue with it is silencers, put one on your gun and it becomes about as effective medium/long range as a one legged man in a arse kicking contest. Close range they're still alright. Other than that, i found it too be the people who were playing the game to be the greatest annoyance, too many clans playing objective modes (Headies, Dommintion) etc meaning you cant join a game with randoms as you just get raped, and too many people worrying about they're KD and camping with Blind Eye/Assassin on. I use both these perks but spend about 80% of my time in the enemies side of the map capturing they're flag and defending B flag so it helps for me to not come up on their map. The Raven
The problem is that you classed the two biggest ganes wrong. Batman Arkham city And Skyrim More than lived up to the hype. While Batman was short it was a materful game I lost all faith in the COD team after black ops
Havard
I quite like MW3 but it is a camp fest. The game has done well to stop people hiding behind claymores but limiting scavenger etc but it now means that people just sit in corners trying to pick you off. I wouldn't mind having a run around and getting some kills but you just end up getting mullered. Subsequently I camp and then go for a run once I have got a reputable score. Shame really, I do like the game as it has put me back in touch with some of the guys I used to play with on MW2 so we have been having a laugh. H. DodgyRog
I seem to of almost stopped playing games fullstop Just find them very repetitive now Don't think I have done an all night session on a console game since Crash mode in Burnout Revenge days (used to be in the Top 500 in the World on that) Just don't seem to be able to get really into any of them anymore I was going to get Skyrim, but I never really got into Oblivion for more than a few days I used to love the Age of Empires and Command and Conquer sort of games, but they seem to of drifted away now
j_jza80
I used to love the Age of Empires and Command and Conquer sort of games, but they seem to of drifted away now Red Alert 3 is a great game IMO. I have it on the Xbox, and still find it challenging on skirmish 2 years on. I also have 'command and conquer - the 1st decade' on pc. Generals and RA2 are still great, the older ones are either too easy or impossible now.
tkddav3
tbh cod is the winner for me, story was great and so is the online. yes it can be very stressfull at times but so can all games? when you get a decent lobby with no screaming kids, stupidly high levels that are stupidly good, and a good connection. you cant beat it
Rob_Mitchell
im loving mw3 at the moment, granted its a bit campy and grenade launchers drive me wild but its still highly addictive and better than the others. Red alert 3= awesome game

Greatest games ever, I own every C&C games and zero hour got modded amazingly (star wars mod!!). They killed the series with the last one, I gave it a few hours and that was it. Something along these lines that you may enjoy - Men Of War Assualt Squad, though more like Company of Heroes (anoth superb series). The other men of war titles sucked. The-Plethora
Red alert 2 gets my vote as the best C&C game, generals was great on multiplayer when you are in the same room and sort of agree to build your forces up for half an hour before you start "AK-47s for everybody!" I have red alert 3 on X-Box but only played about 30 mins, hasn't really clicked with me yet.

On skirmish, the order in which you build things can easily loose you a battle. The sides are very evenly matched, though the rising sun are quite hard to use effectively as they heavily rely on units secondary functions and attacking en mass. TheTurtleshead
Black ops was a much better game online imo, it focused more on actual gameplay as opposed to the killstreak/perk fest that is any of the MW games.
staples230uk
I'm getting really hacked off with the excessive camping on mw3. I now play the survival mode in the spec ops mode with a few mates. I also wonder why there are so many 8 - 10 year olds on it, when it's an 18 rated game? COD has turned into a kids game IMO used to love cod but feel now the franchise has probably run it's course. Might give bf3 a whirl. While Batman was short it was a materful game I lost all faith in the COD team after black ops It depends how you class biggest games, to me it is money taken and COD will blow every other game out the water significantly just like the previous two have. Black Ops took a Billion dollars in the first 6 weeks last year !! MW3 is set to blitz this record.

l33wgn
is it bad i still classify goldeneye on the n64 as one of the greatest ever games, oh and showing my age and how uncool i was here but the pokemon games used to be right up there as well, much like everyone else i have all the cod games though but still hark back to the good old days
Supraman
Been playing MW3 with a few guys off here on the xbox and although its not what people expected etc its still a good laugh.
garetheves
Im enjoying BF3 at the moment. Used to play FPS a lot in the form of Counter Strike and CS: Source, and when i say a lot...i mean a lot. Unfortunately then i discovered MMOs and have been lost in them since. The guild im in is a multi game guild so a lot of the guys started playing this on release, so thought it would be a good opportunity to dust off my scope and give FPS another go. Really enjoy the teamplay aspect to BF3, i suck at just running round shooting people and get really frustrated in densely populated small areas when you spawn, die, spawn, die etc, so the teamplay aspect appeals to me. Love the vehicles although cant fly the plane for shit and really like the customisation aspect to each Kit. Overall really enjoying and makes a change from what im used to
bigbloodyturbo
Hated black-ops with a vengeance. Haven't played either MW3 or BF3 yet as I'm overseas untill next week but I think Im goign to give MW3 a miss. Cod has seemd to just go downhill with every iteration, kids find more and more ways to piss people off by camping and hiding behind claymores in corners of a room or by no-scoping the sh!t out of you or somebody with a G3/Fal that has a fire rate higher than an uzi for some reason. Connection speed dictates everything and I think what ended it for me was sniping someones head with an L96 twice and not getting a kill but having the dude turn round and kill me from across the map with a bloody skorpion. Cod is no more than counterstrike with better graphics, I'm hoping Bf3 will be more rewarding just like the BF2 on pc was like.
creative
Well I have to say I'm loving BF3! Good size maps, plenty to blow up, love the way gravity affects bullets now. Haven't had 1 issue with lag, logging in or glitches. Just had a good few hours getting my rse spanked but overall a great game!
