CJ
I don't want to put this into the for sale and wanted section as it is unlikely any member will have a spare one hanging about in their lounge! My sons Y reg Saxo VTR has just failed the mot on a bearing issue in the rear axle and he is now looking at trying to find a second hand one. I know that there were several members on here that used to have saxos and I wondered if you could recommend sites (other than eBay) that may be worth looking at or if you knew anyone that was selling. Normally I would scour the Internet but my BB connection does not go live until next week and trying to do this whilst using an iPhone 3G is proving challenging. CJ
Just to confirm, it is a VTR not vts. Could a mod change the title please as I cannot do it from this phone.

CJ
I looked at that site but you have to be a premier member to view the for sale threads. I've also put requests on breakeryard and 247 parts websites. Managed to find one locally at £130 but Josh us hoping to spend less.

Just so you know, if you edit the first post, you can change the title yourself.

Chris Wilson
As these things are always in need of rear beam repairs due to wear, as do the equivalent Peugeot models, good used ones are sometimes hard to find. repairing his is a horrible job, most garages try and steer clear as it's usually a job costing more than the car is worth. Be sure to get a good one, unscrupulous people sell their old on again after fitting a better one... tell him to flog it after it's done and get a Micra or something else Japanese. merckx
Here's a good website for parts, if you click on one of the vehicles it shows which parts have been removed if any. http://vehicles.motorhog.co.uk/breaking-vehicles/

We have been told it is a common fault. Unfortuntely, being out in the sticks, finding one locally could prove difficult and therefore testing and / or looking at it could be out of the question.
