pezzler
Anybody watching the Tyson Fury vs Neven Pajkik? I'd not heard of this Pajkik until the fight had been publicised. Done a little research; 34 yrs old, 6' 3'', 16st 3lbs, 16 fights, 16 wins, 5 stoppages - reasonable(ish) stats I guess, oh and he's the boxing champion of the whole of Canada. Seemingly a stiff challenge for Tyson Fury...? Seemingly not; I watched a couple of his previous fights on YouTube tonight and the guy looks absolutely useless, god knows how he managed be become champion of a place like Canada. I guess it goes to show what dire state the heavyweight boxing scene is in. Not sure what to think about Tyson Fury; he's got a good backstory, he's tall with a rangey jab, and he can win when the fights are carefully selected. But more importantly, he's slow, out of shape, lacks skill, and doesnt appear to have the hard hitting ability that he has been hyped up to have. I know he's only 23 and everything he lacks he can work on, but I was reading the other day that Fury's team believe that he'll need two more fights, then be ready for a Klitshcko?? I also read that Fury refused to even entertain the idea of fighting Audley Harrison. Probably because Audley would ruin him within 6 rounds Then next big thing since Lennox? Dont think so
jazz1
There will never be another Mike Tyson, it was those days I loved watching boxing, now it is a boring sport to watch.
Guest kenblockseal
Do you really think Audley could take him mate? After seeing all of Audleys fights i think i could probibly put him down within 3 rounds.
jazz1
He is another disgrace to boxing, half these clowns come in just for money, he is my mates neighbour, I personally think he's a useless lump. I would not even watch his fights for free.

tomgeer
I think Tyson Fury will improve, his last fight was 10x times better than the one before that, he makes for quite a good fighter to watch because he seems to go through a spell of being on the verge of getting knocked out himself every fight, it's as if he sort of wakes up after getting hit a few times. He'll become a world champion eventually (if nothing else due to the Klitshcko's age) but as already said, the days of Mike Tyson are long gone and probably won't be back due to the UFC taking over as a more glamorous and probably better paid sport for heavyweights to be in. Scott
Speaking of which there is a huge heavyweight fight in the UFC tonight. I don't think it's as big money as boxing is/was though. I remember the days of £16m per fight win, lose or draw.
Swampy442
Fury was on 5 live last night, from what he was saying it sounded like if he won the latest fight the next one would be Klitschko.
Tyson
There will never be another Mike Tyson I beg to differ !! Tyson fury is one of my nick names as well as sex muffin and tiger feet. I should have him sued for copyright !!!
pezzler
Do you really think Audley could take him mate? The man obviously has the technical abilty, hence his olympic gold medal; he's also a pretty big guy, which I dont think Fury has really had to contend with. Also, 32 fights, 27 wins, 20 by K.O - Audleys record isnt too shabby (thanks wikipedia). Obviously Haye ruined the guy, Audley just could not cope with his speed. Speed shouldnt really be an issue with Fury though Tyson Fury seems to be fighting what I think are described as "bums". I'd like to see him take a heavy defeat from a someone like Audley, think it would motivate him to improve, maybe even at least get in shape for following fight
pezzler
Oh and I see Chris Eubanks Jr is on the undercard making his pro debut, would like to see this but i'm guessing 5 will only show the main event

black_widow87
I must admit in terms of boxing it was awfull, both fighters didnt seem to show much skill. I just enjoyed the fact that both fighters were slugging away at eachother
bradleyh_15
Fair enough but fury is fat and has no tone and looked virtually gassed! His head never moved unless it was hit! He will get eaten alive by a semi decent heavy weight let alone a Klitchco or valuev!

I think they should put him up against him, would be a funny sight
dude
Is it me or 90% of heavyweights appear to be just fat ??? Take Pajkik specs 6ft3 and 16 st 3 lbs, now im 5ft10 and 15st 7 with skinny legs so how can a guy 5 inches taller weigh only 1/2 stone more and be considered a heavyweight ??? Ive seen Bruno and Lewis up close and they are huge. Im sure if you took the fat off a lot of these guys they would be cruiser weight and no more. Stephendjb
I'd be the first to agree a lot of heavyweights are really blown up cruisers (& not using muscle) but with the lack of talent in the heavyweight division at the moment I think they've got more chance of winning there than at cruiserweight & it's just being lazy. Look how close talented cruiserweights have come to taking the title (Haye) or in Holyfield's case have taken it.
safcdixon
i think fury needs a proper quality trainer and gym at the end of the day he trains on a caravan site ( this may just be build up shite they show too big them up). the blokes still young so theres lots of time for massive improvement he has the size and sometimes has a bit of class he just needs some good guidence
