dan294
I've had a good search, and think it may be a connection issue but i'm not sure where to start. This fault couples with an intermittant ABS fault that started this week as well . Driving to work this morning, the heater blower and all the LEDS on the heather panel just went off, along with the stereo, then after 30 seconds, switched back on. This happedned twice. Went home, switched the car off, checked fuses etc, and battery connections, all fine. Also reset the ECU, just in case... Drove to work, same again, all the heater LEDS intermittantly switching on and off. I turned the stereo off to take that out of the equation, still the same problem. I also noticed the electric mirrors not working when the heather controls go off. Everything else still works, lights, windows etc. Can anyone help!? dan294
Think I've discovered the cause, thankfully!!! There is a white multiplug connector just behind where the round data link connector is inside the car on the drivers side. Seemed to have come loose, clipped back in and all seems fine, for now..... Wouldn't start before, like no power to the starter motor, no dimming of lights or clicking, but a few of the usual dash lights weren't on, Check engine light and all the TRAC lights, wiggled said plug and they all came back on! Hopefully it'll get me home tonight!!!
