Renault Clio sport 2002 - 2005, any experience??

Due to possible employment changes, I might need to sell my supe and get something that can be a bit more commuter friendly. Basically I will be travelling to London every week from Norfolk. The main concern I have is during the winter months the supe may be stuck on the drive, and need something fwd so I can travel on bad/icy days. I would love to keep the supra, I have always wanted one since 1993!

So to the point lol. I am considering a Clio sport (cup preferably). Has anyone had any ownership experience with them? I once had a Clio 1.2 dynamique back in 2002 so know what the interior and bodywork is like. But what are the realistic mpg figs, etc etc. What's the engine like? Is it easy to service? Gonna have a butchers at the owners clubs, but I thought I'd noise you guys up first.

Thanks for your patience

My boss' son has a cup, basically, the cup version is the complete stripped down bare model, no air con, no sunroof, no spare tire etc.. Good little car, reasonably reliable. quite nippy.

Servicing wise, same as any other 16v clio really, slightly different.

He is looking to sell his very soon too and got offered next to nothing P/X against a AMG55 SLK!
