can you remove the wastagate VSV completly if have a electronic boost controler?

i am in the process of removing the turbo pipes the give a clean and paint.

 

was thinking of removing the wastagate VSV completely (as pictured here...)

 

 

as most of the pipes that come off it are blanked off now.

 

 

can i do this?

 

 

does this pipe go to it though? (thin one next to the letter 3) my cars away up my garage at the moment....

 

 

or does that pipe go somewhere else or can that be blanked off too?

I take it your running true twin turbo. I think the pipe you have marked you just link to the small hard pipe at the top of the turbos

Yes that pipe goes to the VSV along with the small thin pipe that comes down from the hard lines on top of the turbo pipes.

mate when taking things off that you know nothing about you should always mark up where they come from, dots of tipex work well. also in the first picture it clearly indicates where the pipes belong.

you cant see where it connects to in the pic, may have gone to the turbo pipes,

 

 

yea when removing pipes i usually put masking tape around the pipe, with a number on (and do same other end)

so why didnt you then, and you can totally tell by the picture the vac pipe are different diamiters and in pairs or on there own
