Abz
Flash... Ahhhhh! Not Gordon! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-15648899 I have been saying this for ages & take a look at this article now. I'd like the Android fan boy's now to use, "but it doesn't have flash..." excuse please.
Scott
What's android got to do with it? There is no such thing as an Android fanboi by the way. You can only be a fanboi when you support an inferior product for the sake of fashion

I am only isolating Android here as you get a lot of stick from them users that Apple devices don't have flash Anyway my white galaxy S2 looks very fashionable! Still not fully warming to it! That's because you have infinite choice of what you want to do rather than having limited options. Using the brain to make decisions takes a while to get used to I don't really care that it doesn't have flash, I don't use a LOT of flash on the android so it isn't really a big selling point for me regardless. The only thing that didn't work previously on my iPad, that now works, that really annoyed me was youtube videos in the browser. Seems to work fine now though. Or more the fact I have to route around more to find simple things to do. I'll need to go through your thread to get up to speed, what annoyed me yesterday was trying to kill tasks. Very simple thing to do, couldn't find an app for it on the phone so downloaded the most rated one. On my iPhone I just double tap the home button & close away! Both OS's have pro's & con's, lets keep this thread to Adobe Flash though & HTML5
Scott
Kill apps? Why would you do that? Remove any task killers that you have and don't bother with the task manager. The only time to ever kill a task is if you are running low on memory. The way the android OS works you never need to kill any tasks as they never use any power (processor or battery) when they are not being used. To access the task manager hold the square button, this will show you the recent apps that you have accessed (also handy). From there click "task manager". You will then have access to the active applications and the RAM allocation. Not to mention your downloaded apps and current storage usage. As said though, I don't "kill" anything and I've never had a problem.

The battery was running flat quite quickly & I thought some of the apps were killing it, hence doing this.

The battery was running flat quite quickly & I thought some of the apps were killing it, hence doing this. When I first got the phone the battery used to die fairly quickly (I would get a day of proper use out of it). As it's been "broken" in now it lasts about twice as long. I went on a stag do last month and it lasted the whole weekend, although use was minimal. I was plesantly surprised to be the only person on the bus with any charge left

Thorin
Why single Android out? Doesn't Windows phone have flash? Blackberry?
caseys
Shame they aren't doing the same to the desktop If there's one program with a plethora of vulns, causes CPUs to spin and memory to be used up... it's flash.

Abz
I have the torch! Have I been missing out on hours of gaming fun? Which have you got? I had one about a year or so ago, touch screen keyboard was terrible! Phone kept crashing, was all over the place. It went in the draw & back out came the bold. So, no you have not been missing out
