shaky
Are the original seats linked into the car's airbag system? would then disconnecting them may bring a warning light on ??
SteveC
The seats are not connected to the air bag system. If you've had the dash off and turned the ignition on, then I recall that can make the air bag light appear.
nevins
Seats are linked to the air bag sorry to say. As the pretensioner is fired the same time as the bag to pull you back into the seat.
shaky
Ok thanks, not had the dash out so i have a problem,i'll try the 2 wire trick Cheers!!
nevins
Check that the plugs for the pretensioner are fully connected, common problem is where the esat moves forwards and backwards, or stuff goes under them it pulls on the wiring. nevins
Also a trick to get a light out is to fit either a 2.4 or 2.7 ohm resistor in the plug, can't remember which one though.

I checked on the diagrams I have before replying and there was no mention of any connection to the seats. Will the wire trick work then? i have put recaros in, had a good look at all the wiring and all seems fine,2 plugs on the left seat and 1 on the right
sideexitsupra
Yeah, the 2 wire trick will work. I have bucket Recaros in mine and no air bag. If you disconnect the panel with the warning light at any point, then you will need to reset using the 2 wire method.
