Scott
Not sure if I've missed a thread on this or if it's just not really been of any interest. Just heard on the radio that Conrad Murray has been found guilty. Anyone been following the goings on? Thoughts? I've only really heard the basics through various radio reports. I'm watching it on the sky news at the moment and I was expecting a not quilty verdict with so much dodgy evidence being presented in the case. Charlotte
The fact that he was a doctor with an ethics code and the fact that he willingly allowed money to take over his motives to treat a patient I have no idea how he could be found anything but guilty. merckx
I'm not surprised at the verdict. He completely failed Michael Jackson in the care that he didn't provide and was responsible for his death. Providing propofol which was totally inappropriate for insomnia and not setting up a proper monitoring system with alarms ulimately killed him, too busy communicating with his girlfriends when Michael Jackson was dying, not phoning 911 immediately which if it had been done an expert witness said he wouldn't have died. He gave Michael Jackson chest compressions when he still had a pulse , his breathing had stopped. It was debatable whether Michael Jackson self-administered the propofol or Conrad Murray gave him it. Based on that it seems pretty open and shut then, it's strange that it took so long though. I guess the profile had a lot to do with that though. As I said I've only heard snippets, what I heard suggested he was guilty but we all know what the media can be like.

The exact sequence of events leading to his death will probably never be known, but one way or another the doctors ethics must come into question.
