CanisLupus
Got myself an Exedy Twin Plate and i'm going to change from a Stock clutch setup. Going to get a set of flywheel bolts as well as the release bearing and the rear main seal. What other parts should i change when i have the gearbox removed already? Thought about getting a TRD gearbox mount are they any good or are the vibrations that bad as sometimes described?

Chris Wilson
Front and rear gearbox shaft seals, and the selector shaft seal. I think I have most of them in stock if you need them, as well as the crank rear main seal. I have new crank spigot bearings, too, which you should certainly change. All at good prices. fastcar
Might be worth changing all the clips and ring spacer that hold the thrust bearing in place. I changed all mine when I changed my clutch. Also changed spigot bearing in the centre of the fly wheel. It can be a pita to change without the tool though. Can be brought from Toyota for about £60. Also thrust bearing as you have mentioned and oil seals that have also been mentioned. I would defenitly change the gearbox oil for sure. One of the traders on here should be able to get hold of the proper V160 gear oil. I have a TRD gearbox mount and haven't really noticed anything diffrent from stock. CanisLupus
Gearbox oil is 2 months old. Thanks Chris have to look into the part numbers don't know if postage to Germany will make it dearer from you. Spigot bearings are the release and pilot bearing or am i wrong with that? Chris Wilson
Spigot bearing = pilot bearing. Release bearing is the pull or push type clutch release bearing, depending on what type of clutch is fitted. I can probably do a good price on the seals and stuff as i buy in quantity. CanisLupus
Sounds good Chris. Found some part numbers, are those parts sufficient for the clutch fitting itself or do i need anything else for an Exedy Twin Plate? 96152-00500 snap ring 90903-63001 t/o bearing 90560-50001 snap ring 90560-79001 spacer 90206-12006 wave washer 90520-75001 snap ring 31264-14060 spring 31231-14050 hub 90363-12002-77 pilot bearing 90910-02115 flywheel bolts Would you replace all of those parts or just the snap rings and bearings as Toyota recommends? Chris Wilson
I would just change the two bearings and the flywheel bolts. If it uses a none stock flywheel it may need shorter bolts. Does it run a stock flywheel with this clutch?
CanisLupus
Snap Rings not needed? Manual states to change them. No it's an Exedy Fly that comes with the clutch. Found the following in the manual as far as i can see it's meant to use 2jz-ge bolts then? Pic:
CanisLupus
Chris sent you an E-Mail with an enquiry for the parts. Thanks Aleks
