Exhaust butterfly valves

These are electrically switched, so could the Syvecs not operate it via, say, RPM and and TPS? Rev

We did try that with mine but it ended up not being possible. I needed to buy some sort of additional motor driver. If I remember rightly we could get the Syvecs to open it but not close it.

Certainly something to talk about tomorrow, at the Syvecs day.

Definitely, Ryan will remember how things went when we tried. I'm happy to try again with it if he thinks something can be done.

Also, I've got a 3" QTP one that I never used, if anyone is interested in buying it then drop me a pm.

Having had another look at the Varex offerings, none of them are in true 4" front to back! I quite like the idea of using one as an inline muffler/resonator (basically, milling off the inlet and outlet, and welding it in place of the midpipe or similar) because it won't cause as big an issue with backpressure like a butterfly valve in the pipework would.

I've just picked the car up and brought it back home from my sisters and it's not even fecking loud on tickover what so ever.

I'm going to put 1 of these in anyway though to give it a try.

Now my downpipe and midpipe are 4" and the cat back is 3". Where would be best to fit this. Ideally I'd like to get a 3" one and weld it into the cat back pipework, but would this have less effect than putting it closer to the turbo.
