keener Posted November 4, 2011 Share Posted November 4, 2011 Almost certainly flare caused by your daughter being so close to the camera in the first shot. Could be from reflective costume or just as simple as bouncing off the white make-up. Whichever way as soon as you take her out of the way you can't recreate the effect so it must have been due to her being so close to the flash. I'm a photographer and I often get abberations like that when using flash inside especially when shooting reflective things up close. Sorry to discredit the ghostly halloween theories!
