My Audi S2 wheel choice

Hey guys, just wanting some opinions on the wheels for my Audi S2.

It currently wears a set of 17" OZ Vela wheels;

Although the OZ wheels could be refurbished, they're an older design and I don't think they suit the car fantastically. I negotiated this into the price when I bought my S2, so I don't really mind buying some new ones. I've just missed out on a set of cheap but brand new BBS CV wheels (thanks to my Internet connection! :( )

I've been offered a set of these KTS wheels from a 200sx for next to nothing;

They're in fairly good condition, but I could afford to refurb them any colour I want. The only downside I can see is that I'll need to buy adaptors, as these are 5x114.3 and the Audi needs 5x112. I could use wobble bolts... But no! On the plus side, the adaptors I've seen convert the Audi to stud rather than bolt fitment, which I find much better.

So really I'm after opinions on wether these wheels will suit the car, and what colour to go for? I think they'll look great, as they're a similar design to various BBS wheels, and would go either bright silver or a light-ish gunmetal.

If going gunmetal I'd be tempted to get the grille surround and badges done in gunmetal instead of chrome.

Opinions please! :D

i like the wheels you have posted as an option. although it would be up to you about running adaptors some people are funny about using spacers/adaptors

I'm quite confident that running some good quality ones will be okay, however I would remove the wheels on a very regular basis to inspect the fittings. I'd much rather some correctly fitting wheels, but I haven't got loads to throw at the car.

Slightly dished 5 spokes really suit the audi. Is there no way you can get a hold of the stock 5 spokes? Those look stunning.

Do you mean the stock Avus wheels?

The stock wheels are 16", I need 17" to clear my Porsche brakes. You can get 17" Avus wheels from the URS4 but they're expensive. The 17" Avus wheels from the S3 don't fit :(

Yes they would, I've long been a fan of these (they've been around a long time) but again they're expensive, and hard to come by in 5x112 17"

Those look far more modern than the one's I'm thinking of. You are right though, they would be too small for your brakes.

My Papa has an Audi Coupe and he has 2 sets of the standard alloys that are fairly hard to come by. I'm working off of memory here but IIRC they look similar to the Avez (5 spokes of similar design) only they are split rim or have the fake split rim design. I think they had a large nut holding the centre cover on as well.

They would look well, but I think I'd probably save up for some Advan RSs in silver if I wanted that style.

if you can budget for a better brand I say go for it, a nice set of wheels could transform your car for nice to stunning.

That's the thing, I can't. But if I'm going to buy some cheap wheels, I'd much prefer some slightly oem looking wheels than some obviously aftermarket ones.

The Borbet A could look nice:

Though with flat centres and a bit more dish like these:

I've always loved them.

Other choices would be Porsche turbo twists:

Or (similar-ish to the Borbets) Fittipaldi:
