barneybrendan
I sold my 32ft crabber to some guys up there a fiew years ago, they were scallop divers. The boat was a 32ft wooden dixon crabber which was yellow and black and had stainless rails all the way around her and a rear wheelhouse and cow catcher on the rear.I know the guys changed the colour to red and black. I have lost any photos i had of the boat and wanted to try and get somerescent ones as the boat held a lot of memories .so if anybody is up that way and see's the boat take some pics. I know its a long shot but you never know.

Bobbeh
I was up there last year, in Kirkwall, took a few of the harbour, any of them yours?
barneybrendan
not any of them ,but the red boat in the last pic is on the lines of what it could look like now if its been changed. It has a 5 cylinder perkins engine an an old dog box which i had a lever in the floor of the wheelhouse to put it in gear.It also had a large stainless exhaust coming up the side of the wheelhouse which i had long life make out of 5mm walled tube . barneybrendan
I think norman might of found it last night, but if not it was called heart of oak dont know where it went exactly.by the sounds of it if it is my old boat he has found i dont want to be seeing any photos as it sounds like it has been neglected.Damn shame if it has as i pushed some hurendous weather while crabbing and it always kept us safe and brought us home, mainly because she was well looked after and was never bodged up . barneybrendan
it is the third boat away from the front it has a red roof and blue hull looks tatty. This was when i first bought it and stripped 1 1/ 2 tonne of rusty steal off her.It then went into a boat yard where i completely refitted her. and in the second pic its the yellow one furthest away just after refit
