Benjy
I picked up toy number 2 yesterday, an E36 M3 Evolution but when I collected it yesterday it was a bit dirty. So on my way back from my lock up, I took it to he local Tesco where they have Car Park Valeting. I handed the polish guy my keys, the only set with the car, but he was a bit flustered dealing with another customer and he placed said keys on this other guys wiper. I thought nothing of it but upon my return, he asked me for my keys as the M3 hadn't moved. How I didn't chin him I dunno, but my keys are now floating around on the scuttle panel of a 10 reg 207SW! Tesco security were wosre than useless, so the valeter is now paying for a new key set, and recovery from tesco to my yard, my yard to BMW! It's a good job I like the look of my new toy, cos I can't frickin' drive it!!!!!! Seeeeeeeeeeething! Sent from my iPhone

Havard
Ooh, I would have lost my mind. Glad to see that they are sorting out but I imagine it to be an expensive fix.
Benjy
An auto lock smith reckoned £350 for one key, let alone the original BMW alarm fob! I'm screwing inside, but don't wanna smash the guy up until AFTER my cars fixed and paid for! Lol Sent from my iPhone
tkddav3
just look on the brightside, you get a shiny new set of keys. how long will it be before you get the new key and fob mate?
Benjy
Not sure, however long BMW take to sort it. Not even sure if they will be able to replace the alarm fob or if they'll have to replace the system! Just majorly pissed off about it! Paul
I'd be suprised if he pays up or is properly insured for such events. Anyway, letting them wash your car would have de-valued it by a few hundred quid anyway what with the gritty water and sponges they use. Westy
I would have lost the plot. Glad I clean the car myself!
Lbm
Letting those Tesco boys clean your car in the first place? All in all, a risky strategy. Anyway, hope it gets sorted asap
Havard
Just thought, why would you take your car to be valeted by the Tesco monkeys? The minute I take ownership of a car, nobody cleans it but me..!! H.
Benjy
Time, effort, all things I was lacking yesterday. The usual guy's spot on, but he's been deported. Lol He understands that he's paying. I got £200 cash upfront for recovery and he's paying up front for the key etc. If he doesn't, i'll go back with my van, and load him up! Shimples! He was almost in tears when he realised and I was towering above him. Even though I was nice and calm and said "you best sort something out then...", the colour drained out of him! Maybe he was nervous because I was so calm, but deep down I could have torn him a new arsehole! Lol Sent from my iPhone

Paul
£775 in total! Ouch! Glad I'm not paying for it! You given them the bad news yet? Have you got legitimate contact details for them?
Benjy
No it's car park valeting. Some polski's wash your car while you shop. Luckily I managed to get the alarm fobs from BMW for £100, programmed for £75 2 x keys programmed for £305 and recovery was £70. Which works out at £775....... Benjy
It's all cash upfront before anything's done and he's paying up. If he doesn't he's getting concrete boots and going for a swim! Sent from my iPhone
