That's awesome! I wonder how many people play that way, they would have a fairly large advantage over most users.

I use one of these, it's called eagle eye by penguin if you google it, around 45quid and it's immense, i can finally enjoy my PS3 for shooters again.

Is it any good, is it stable, does Origin get in the way and steal your soul, and is it populated by stat-paddding cheating hooting monkeys yet? If the answers are yes, yes, no, and no, my temptation factor increases further

It is quite stable and I haven't come across any cheaters yet.

I swear if I buy this and EA shafts me again, you lot will never hear the last of it :D I know I get ranty over this subject but I might be willing to risk it. My main reason is that I work shifts, so I get a lot of daytime-during-the-week to myself, and being able to duck on and cook some fools for an hour sounds like tasty pie to me.

Picked this up on 360 yesterday, wanted it for PC but don't want to deal with origin. A few friends were going on about it on FB so thought I would pick up a copy. I like it so far, I have never been a fan of gamepads but it's not so bad, graphics are pretty much at the limit of what a 360 can churn out, sticking with sniper for now.

My only slight moan is that there seems to be a lack of vehicles in the maps I have tried so far.

Played this all weekend and wow- I actually didn't sleep well today because all I dreamt about was gunfire, jets and explosions.

This game is epic. Honestly, you owe it to yourselves to play this on PC.

The visuals are astounding. Honestly- some of it looks so real I have to sit back and enjoy the view. With 64 players, there is so much going on screen as well and it all runs without a hitch (on my PC at least- courtesy of the help from the mkivsupra crew!).

In fact, I'm going to start a BF3 PC thread so I can get more players to join in the mayhem. Working as a team is so rewarding in this

Not played an FPS for a long time (use to play counterstrike a lot....too much in fact) but in the last 4 years been hooked on MMOs. A load of the guys in my guild have all started playing BF3 so thought id have another crack at the FPS genre. Bought it this weekend and played a bit last few days. Took a while to get used to and was completely confused by it all at first but getting used to it. Once you know how the squad system works it really is very good. Will take a while till im used to the gameplay fully but getting there. Cant shoot for shit yet tho :)

Wont take over from my MMO as my major time sink but can see me spending a couple of hours a week in it. My guild has their own server so im mainly playing on that one but if you set anything up for on here ill join ya :) My guilds server can be found by searching for Element Zero in the search server part. My Origin/Battlefield name is garetheves if anyone wants to add me (PC obviously)

Managed to put a bit more time in last night, it really comes alive when you are playing with a few friends on voice chat, tricky to get 4 of you all on the same server and on the same side though. I am getting quite handy with the sniper now, I was a second away from being smooshed by this enemy jeep and took him out with a nice headshot before diving out the way. Driving the tank with a gunner is a 2 man job, you need the gunner to shout backup or he's just behind the building as the driver view is quite restrictive. Got my first knife kill as well. The game does not seem to come with any instructions so just been playing about and found you steady the snipers view by holding down the left stick which makes things easier.
