I thought the third one wasn't as good. The problem with the PA films is that once you've seen the first one, the others are nothing new, apart from the storyline, and new ways for the 'ghost' to scare people.

The first one was new and fresh, and the 'scares' were all good. The second one was on par with it I think, just about. But the latest one, I thought, was lacking. Some 'scares' and effects were good, ie, where the sheet came into the kitchen, then collapsed. I got goose bumps when I saw it (and still do when I think about it!) and when 'Toby' grabbed the girl's hair in the bedroom after she bumped into him. But the others we've seen before.

I'd watch it for the scary bits, but I wasn't expecting an AMAZING film.

My sis in law was properly ill for a while after the first one! She kept going on about how it's the scariest thing ever and there's no way we'll sleep etc. We didn't believe her. Then our friends started saying the same things, some stuff about not being able to look at loft hatches again. Anyway we decided we'd give it a go and both me and the missus were sat there afterwards like WTF was that pile of mango, it's the least scary scary film we've ever seen, absolute pap, don't know what they were all going on about. We even watched all the alternate endings in case they were any better, they weren't.

I haven't seen 2 and don't intend to see 3.

The first 2 made it into "Dave's go on torrent site, list by amount or seeders, download the popular ones and watch whilst ironing" folder. I get that it's meant to be a movie from the security camera / video camera perspective but come on any woman with this dude filming them all the time would have whacked him one. The highlights for me were in one of the films where he checks the loft insulation for a couple of moments.

Maybe its just me, but I haven't seen a horror for years that I found even slightly disturbing. I watched Insidius recently and despite it being tipped as the scariest horror in years I found it extremely tame, weak in the storyline dept, and sadly lacking in cinematography. I may just watch this trilogy for the interest it's peaked but I don't expect much of a ride...

Scariest film I remember was Event Horizon, but I think that was because I watched with mates when we were about 12, in the office of a scout hut in the middle of a field late at night, pitch black outside the window and lots of weird noises.

I remember Darkness Falls freaking me out as well.

I went and saw this with my girlfriend this evening,we both thought it was utter rubbish. When the film finished all you heard were people saying "is that it" I didn't find any of the paranormal activity films scary just a little jumpy. Some bits were actually funny though.
