CJ
More advice needed please. My eldest son has sold his car today and that was the last piece in the jigsaw to allow him to go to Oz for one year. He is looking to travel in the next few months between Christmas and new year but spending NYE in Oz. I was wondering if anybody can offer any recommendations for sites / companies to look at for flights?

mustang
The prices are mad around that time, he'd be better to try and get out there soonish. I booked a flight to melbourne a couple of days ago incidentally, through skyscanner, found that the good deals are a few months in advance or very last min, I'm flying out on thursday! Which part is your son off to? He could also try STA travel, gives a student rate and also multiple stop, flexible round the world tickets etc.
CJ
He is flying to Brisbane. I have suggested he waited until the last minute but he isn't quite as cool a customer as me and could not handle the pressure of waiting in case he could not get anything! jagman
Check out AIR ASIA- out of Stansted , via KL to either Brisbane on MAS or MEL with Air asia then internal low cost flight - Its an expensive time of year to go and a long flight - I would suggest a stop over in KL , Chilli crab and cold beer !! Branners
Emirates usually do some good prices. They fly in to Dubai from the UK, and then you change planes and fly on from there.
