CJ
Im now erring towards a fixed line connection and I am looking at Plusnet, O2 and Talk Talk etc. As a user who will spend a lot of time surfing and also d/l from torrent sites (films etc) would 10gb a month be too low a limit? That's basically 10 films mate. I would blitz 10gb in a month, I blitz 2gb on my phone browsing lol. You ideally want unlimited.
CJ
I can see that now Scott. I am so used to being spoilt out in Greece with 12meg line and unlimited D/L I had forgotten just how quickly you can use up data. I've just looked at a sky package that is £27.25 with unlimited D/l, free evening and weekend landline calls and free landline calls to European countries (Greece). Does anyone have any experience of using Sky for a supplier for phone and broadband?

Sky have gotten a lot better over the years, a lot less hassle involved than there used to be with issues. Not to mention a LOT less issues, but I think that's mostly down to the BT architecture getting sorted out.
CJ
I have pretty much decided on Sky - now all i need to do is sort out a PC / laptop. The ex Mrs Jones has offered to lend me a very old laptop for the time being and whilst it is probably slower than me going to a bar to buy a round, it is a start! It certainly wont allow me to plug into the TV and use as a monitor (or at least I don't think so) but that was more of a space issue if I had obtained a PC rather than a laptop.
